A raw silk dress begins with the cloth. Ours are handwoven and hand-painted by artisans across India, then drawn in a contemporary line rather than a traditional one. Each dress is made in limited numbers and finished by hand, inside and out. Clothing shaped by time, material and many hands.

This is slow fashion held to the standard of a collectible object. The dye is azo-free, the surface belongs to that one piece alone, and nothing here is printed at speed. Made slowly. Worn often. Kept for years.

How a hand-painted silk dress is made

A hand-painted silk dress carries its hours on the surface. On our hero pieces the making is itemised openly on the product page, in the house's own form:

Handwoven pieces carry their hours in the cloth itself, woven metre by metre before a pattern is ever cut. The collection runs from a knitted cotton dress as the everyday entry through to a dolman silk jacket dress at the top of the range. The time is not a detail. It is the reason the piece lasts.

Choosing a dress from the collection

These are dresses for a wardrobe you are building to keep, not to cycle through. Choose by fabric first. Silk for depth and drape, in maxi and midi lengths. Khadi and cotton for structure and everyday wear. Then choose by silhouette.
